I'm posting this to the 'ReportItOnline' page the county council has recommended, but I'm also putting it here, so there's a public record of it.
Issue: Hedges
There are hedges on either side of the entrance to Ascot Court, on India Road (opposite the new Sainsbury's Express) which have grown fully two feet into the public pavement, and are once again concealing the street signs, after branches were cut back from in front of the signs, but the rest of the hedges left alone.
At this point, if the hedges are cut back back properly, they are going to look bare, and frankly a state, but that will be because this situation was left untended for so long.
It's in your court, or the owners'.
After the reporting process, which could have been worse, but could have been better, this resulted from submission of the report:
Thank you for reporting an issue to Gloucestershire County Council. This has been passed to our contractor, Amey, for resolution. Street Lighting issues are forwarded by Amey to SSE Contracting. To view progress of the issue you will be required to retain your Amey reference number and the date reported. You cannot view the progress of a Street Lighting issue. Your Amey reference number is 11053824 and the date of the issue has been recorded as 2015-05-01. The GCC reference number is AF183206.
Be interestng to see how that turns out.

Six weeks later, the hedge has finally been trimmed. Not back to flush with the sign, it's still about six inches into the path, but at least it's not two foot...

As it's almost as bad as before, and certain to get worse...
I reported this before, in May.
'Issue: Hedges
'There are hedges on either side of the entrance to Ascot Court, on India Road (opposite the new Sainsbury's Express) which have grown fully two feet into the public pavement, and are once again concealing the street signs, after branches were cut back from in front of the signs, but the rest of the hedges left alone.

It's back to being nearly as bad as it was, currently at *least* 18 inches protruding into the pavement (and half covering an access chamber lid), with the signs half concealed by leaves again.
The hedge was never really cut back properly, it should have been the full two feet. This has been done with a hedge on Cheltenham Rd, near the 'Walls' roundabout, and as barren as it looked, the leaves *are* growing back again. There is no excuse for not requiring that the same is done with this hedge.

That 'Report It' link has been changed, by the way. You have to add '/issue' now.
