Before I start, I should say that the 'Contacts' section is probably pretty out of date now. If anyone cares about that, feel free to suggest updates to me on that thread. If not, I'll leave it as it is.
So, the public meeting may be happening soon, as the post linked to below suggests.

If it does, though, I should point out that the current candidate won't need the permission of the Chair, because the candidate is a resident, and has never been pevented from attending an open meeting, an AGM, or an EGM.
What would be nice, though, is if Paul Harries could publicly state the date of the open meeting, as according to my source it's been known by the committee for well over a month now, so secrecy seems pointless. Leaving aside the fact that the committee seem to have a habit of scheduling meetings and then finding that they got their dates mixed up, and what they thought would be a Wednesday, for example, turns out to be a Sunday...
